The courage and conviction to establish a new way.

In 1973, we encountered the concept of closet doors in America. We were convinced of a demand for such a product in the midst of the advancing westernization of Japanese lifestyle, brought it home and began marketing it. When the oil crisis happened shortly thereafter, there was not much movement for about 5 years, however, under the conviction that the need would arise, we did not give up. Afterwards, employed by a major developer as a start, closet doors showed explosive sales in the midst of a transformation of lifestyle with a year on year rate of growth of 400% in those days.

More than 30 years has passed and even now while observing Japanese lifestyle closet doors we suggest have become important merchandise of UNION. >From such experience, the climate that prizes the spirit and conviction to try something new lives on at UNION even now. In addition, we actively encourage collaboration with outside minds. Through a daily exchange a multitude of idea sources is gained. Humanity which exists at the base of a company called UNION. >From here, manufacturing that stands the test of time begins.
